This bucolic scene is actually wedged between Inverness Tech Center and the sprawling community of Parker. Looking at it one would think there wasn’t another soul around for miles.
Douglas County does a good job protecting open space.

When the sunsets behind the Rocky Mountains, light reflects to the east creating very pretty skies. This shot is of the very popular Denver loft building known as The Glass House.
Living here must provide one of the best views of the Rockies and Denver city skyline offered.
Twenty-some miles south of Denver proper, is a Denver Park, Daniel’s Park. This wonderful place is situated high on a hill where buffalo still roam (albeit not freely) and the sunsets decorate the sky with a different show every night.
The best news is, the show is free.
Enjoy.
The Chop House is a great place to eat before or after taking in a game at Coors Field. Of course it’s ok to go even if you don’t partake in baseball.
I like the brick facade of the building, which also offers luxury loft homes with private elevators from the parking garage.
Hummm, living there would mean never having to cook…
The little town of Morrison is anything but sleepy! In a few short blocks the town packs in a variety of very good places to eat, drink and shop.
Located in the shadow of the world famous Red Rocks Amphitheater the town thrives on serving the needs of music lovers and mountain travelers.
One of my favorite places to hang out is the REI Flagship Store at Confluence Park. Yes, sometimes I shop, but most of all I enjoy watching people.
This little corner of the world has so much activity. People are walking, jogging, cycling, skating, tubing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, rafting and some just drinking Starbucks.
You can get there by car, parking is a little tough on weekends, you just need to be patient. You can also get there by walking over the bridge along the Cherry Creek Trail. Frequently I arrive by bike coming from the south alone the Platte River Trail.
No matter how you arrive, it’s a great location.
Forts, tree houses, swings, tires on a rope, are all props for stimulating a great imagination. They also make wonderful memories.
We had an ordinary old chicken coop when I was a kid. It didn’t have chickens, but proved a fun place to store bikes and play house.
When I asked my Dad to make it “bigger” he chuckled and wanted to know “just how much bigger” did I want my playhouse? Wise old Dad never said no or yes, he just let me dream about a bigger house.
The sun goes down earlier up in them there hills! Lucky me, I get to see it when out showing property. This scene was all too tempting.
I wish sunsets could last longer. Of course if they did we might not appreciate them as much.
Enjoy.
Denver dogs are not excluded from having fun! This guy was having a great time tubing down Platte River.
