The view of a star lit night above Denver. Taken on top of Mt. Evans, 14,240 feet above sea level, there’s plenty of see any time of day or night!
Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep
Wildlife up on Mt. Evans is very common. The Big Horn Sheep are there, but hard to see. The last time I visited the mountain, I was 1) lucky enough not to be driving 2) thrilled to see many Big Horns all over the mountain 3) get my husband to stop in traffic while I shot a few pictures! This one was taken near Summit Lake. She had come into the parking lot to forage for food, but a tourist chased her in an effort to feed her. The Sheep didn’t like the tourist’s offerings and took off for higher ground.

The King
Atop Mt. Evans lives a herd of Mountain Goats. They are amazing to watch as they effortlessly climb up and down the side of the mountain.
A Sunday Drive
I captured this image today on my way up Mt. Evans! It’s one of those “lucky shots” where I had 1 second to get it!
I just love the way nothing but the clouds show behind the car. It was truly a trip to the sky!
Echo Lake
As seen from the front steps of the Lodge. The hummingbirds must have been full, because they didn’t come by the feeder. Instead I captured this always changing always awesome scene.
