Draft Horses are so stately, I love to watch how they pull a carriage with ease. They certainly were born to star in parades!

Longhorns on 17th
Once a year when the National Western Stock Show comes to town, they parade the Longhorns down 17th St. along with many of the stars from the Rodeo.
I love the sight of cowboys, horses and cows amongst the modern buildings.
Old Glory Decorates the Dome
As the morning sun rises casting golden light on the Golden Dome of the Capitol Building, Old Glory waves a salute!
Friends in High Places
A perspective seldom seen, except when makes the effort to walk the many steps up the Colorado State Capitol Dome.
BTW, a few years ago lightening struck one of those steeples.
I’ll bet it made a believer of anyone in the neighborhood!
Inside the Capitol Dome
Atop the Capitol Dome one cannot help be impressed the beautiful craftsmanship of construction, the fine details of work and of course the astounding view of the Front Range (Rocky Mountains).
The general public is welcome to take a tour of the Dome. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes; the stair climbing at over 5280 feet of elevation is tough and the air is mighty rare.
Elegance in Politics
The Colorado Capitol Building is no doubt an elegant center of power where the politicians of the state come to battle things out.
I didn’t meet any politicians today, but the other personnel present were very friendly and nice. It must be a great place to work, because they certainly had pride in their jobs.
3rd Floor View
This week I enjoyed strolling around the Colorado Capitol Building on the inside. This photo was taken from the 3rd floor looking across the huge atrium. The railings are shiny gold as are much of the trim on the walls and ceiling.
Colorado State Capitol
The State Capitol building is open to the public for a variety of tours. I enjoy just walking around taking in all the wonderful details.
