It’s been way too long! This is the first National Western Stock Show Parade in two years! I had the pleasure of volunteering for the parade and helping in the staging area. I enjoyed watching the trucks pulling huge trailers drive into the parking lot. It wasn’t your “normal” parking lot, just about everyone brought a horse or a few! When they opened the back doors of the trailers, it was like unwrapping a Christmas present, you just didn’t know what would come out!
Grazing Daze
In the shadow of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, life takes on a Western orientation. Cowboys and Cowgirls work hard to tend the horses and raise cattle that we eventually put on our table. It’s not an easy life, but it is a good one. People here are real and wholesome.

Mountain Peaks
A few times a year I lead a photography group to a ranch in near Westcliffe, Colorado. The scenery there is unsurpassed, add a few horses, cowboys and cowgirls and life just don’t get any better than that. I so enjoy photographing the American Western Life!
