As night approaches the work in the rail yard continues. Denver skyline as seen from the north.

Denver is on the Amtrak railroad line. Each day a train comes through on the way to the west coast. This is the California Zephyr taken just south of Steamboat Springs. The trip through the mountains in the wintertime is outstanding. I was lucky enough to take this journey years ago. Now I wish I could just find lovely vistas and capture images of the train as it makes its way across Colorado!
Just outside of the Historic mining town of Silverton, the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge train makes it’s way back down the hill home. This fabulous train is beautiful in the fall with all the colors on the hillside. There are two trains that run each day. I was glad to be able to catch both of them leaving.
There’s a seedy side of Denver I want to shoot. I can see it from The Mouse Trap, but my hubby refuses to stop the car. Ok, so it’s the busiest intersection of highways for probably 600 miles in any direction. What’s the problem?
Anyway, I went looking for a close by perch. My shot is that looking down the railyard toward Denver. Yes, I know, but remember I said SEEDY?
It’s a cool shot. I didn’t get it yet. Instead I took this, I’m getting closer, stay tuned.
