The Hundred-Plus Year Old State Capitol Building is beautiful to behold as is. Now with the display of quilts, it’s a “must see” for anyone who loves this American Tradition. The quilts displayed are from the Colorado Quilt Council and can be seen this summer of 2009.
We went for a nice long walk this evening. Douglas County offers so much open space to it’s residents. The 460 acre park is home to deer and many varieties of birds we saw tonight. I bet there are many other creatures that come out at night; coyotes and wild cats.
The D & F Clock Tower is where I shot the inside of the clock. I was also able to climb the stairs and view the city from the balcony above the clock. It was a fun activity on a chilly spring day in Denver.
Here’s a sight we seldom see, looking out the face of the clock tower. Yes, this is the D & F Tower from the inside. Each year the Open Doors Denver event allows the public to climb to the tower. Viewing this clock is only part of the treat, the view from the 2oth Floor is spectacular!
This charming fella stopped by during a snow storm to rest outside my patio window. I propped the camera on a tripod and spent a few minutes shooting him. His look of annoyance I do believe was with the weather and not me.
