After the fresh fallen snow, it’s fun to drive around the countryside looking for bright contrasts. This old homestead in Douglas County looks wonderful don’t you think?

Crescent Moon

Last night the moon was a slender crescent, but with a DaVinci glow. (DaVinci discovered the glow) Here I shot it above the peaks in Colorado Springs, hoping to capture it as it went over Pikes Peak. Unfortunately the guards at Mesa Overlook asked us to leave. The park normally closes at 6 and we were way past closing time. Oh well, there’s always next time.

We had a heavy snow storm dumb a couple feet of snow in the Denver region today. I love the way it make everything look so fresh and pretty.
