Funny, I got an email the other day from a gentleman in the UK. He wanted to interview me on the state of real estate in ski towns.

I silently smiled and referred him to a friend of mine, Trish Giassa who actually lives and sells real estate in Crested Butte, a REAL ski town.

So many people have the impression that Denver is IN the mountains. It really isn’t.

But then I took this photo while standing on the Millennium Bridge in Riverfront Park. I’ll be darned, it does look like Denver is in the mountains!

Homes with a View

This view as seen from a top the Millennium Bridge, is much the same view as from these luxury lofts. What an amazing place to view the ever changing scene below. Railroad cars filled with coal, RTD Light Rail silently slipping by filled with commuters and of course the once a day cross-country (probably tardy!) AmTrack pass by 24/7.

I guess living here means your world is always rocking!

Ready to Roll

The hustle and bustle of this busy rail yard is so inviting. The beauty of Union Station built in 1891 is being restored. I would love to hear the stories it holds.

I do know downstairs in the basement is a huge model train layout. Each First Friday of the month the club opens up to the public. One day soon I will take my train loving Grandsons for a visit. I know they will be watching in wide-eyed amazement.

Soon, very soon I must do this.

Night Lights

The moon was supposed to be gigantic this night, it may very well have been but it was obscured by the clouds. No worries, despite my lack of proper warm clothes for night shooting I stood on the hill waiting for the darkness to fall.

It was worth the wait. Denver lights up very nice at night.

Over the Platte

The City of Denver has been making a conscience effort to connect neighborhoods with recreation trails and bridges. Obviously it’s working. This bridge is a busy foot/bike path that connects NW Denver with the Riverfront and Lodo.

Under the Street

If you look at this as I do and sing the Little Mermaid tune “Under the Sea” you too will drive yourself crazy!

Found under the Speer bridge by Confluence Park, this mural is one of many master pieces dwelling on the concrete. I find such art amazing considering the medium on which is drawn.

Crowds line the streets as we wait for the National Western Parade to begin. This year we were enjoying balmy weather instead of the normal chilly January winds!

Miss Rodeo Colorado Presents Old Glory

Cowboys, cowgirls, horses, bulls, rodeo clowns and Old Glory….how much more authentic American can we get?

They Set the Arena on Fire!

After the light show, after the fireworks they torch the ground setting it ablaze! As the fire dies down, the spotlight focuses on the real stars of the show, the Professional Bull Riders!
