I just love the way nothing but the clouds show behind the car. It was truly a trip to the sky!

Rocky Mountain Air Show

Rocky Mountain Airport in Broomfield presents an airshow each year. The gentleman in the wheelchair just finished his performance in a hang glider. He was injured years ago and lost the use of his legs, but that doesn’t stop him from flying. He says, ”I have to fly because I can’t walk!”

How cool is that?

If you look at this as I do and sing the Little Mermaid tune “Under the Sea” you too will drive yourself crazy!

Found under the Speer bridge by Confluence Park, this mural is one of many master pieces dwelling on the concrete. I find such art amazing considering the medium on which is drawn.

Cowboys, cowgirls, horses, bulls, rodeo clowns and Old Glory….how much more authentic American can we get?

The Professional Bull Riders Show begins when the house lights go out. There’s a boom a bang and a pop! It’s all enough to make you jump out of your skin! But that’s only the beginning…wait a minute!

All Babies are Cute!

Locked inside the Petting Farm this little guy is so young. He’s thinking Mom and Dad just dropped him off at day care!

Babies of any kind are cute, doesn’t matter if they are black, white, yellow, brown, two-legged, four-legged, fly, swim, walk or run!

I love them all.

P.S. Before anyone gets upset, Mom and Dad were close-by just beyond my viewfinder.

My New Friend the Llama!

At the National Western Stock Show, the exhibits go on and on. My all time favorite place to hang out is at the Petting Farm. Here they bring in baby animals for everyone to enjoy.

Of course there is a proper warning at the gate, the owner is not responsible for damage to one’s clothes, shoes, etc. No worries, clothes and shoes can be washed or replaced.

Wandering around inside is worth the risk considering the precious memories one makes.

Another Pretty Face

The National Western Stock Show brings in approximately 17,000 animals to the Denver Coliseum each year. Walking around at first is a shock to the olfactory system but after a few minutes one actually gets used to it!

I enjoy watching the grooming of the farm animals. They take amazing care to clean, brush and dry enormous cows and bulls. Of course it’s all part of the show. Hundreds of thousands of dollars will trade hands this month as deals are made for stock.

It’s not a world that I am used to, but I find it most interesting.

The little sheep face sticks out in the crowd.
