Crescent Moon

Last night the moon was a slender crescent, but with a DaVinci glow. (DaVinci discovered the glow) Here I shot it above the peaks in Colorado Springs, hoping to capture it as it went over Pikes Peak. Unfortunately the guards at Mesa Overlook asked us to leave. The park normally closes at 6 and we were way past closing time. Oh well, there’s always next time.

At the Four Mile Historic Park, demonstrations are held depicting traditions of long ago. I enjoyed seeing this young girl learn to quilt.

The Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield celebrate the season each year with the Trail of Lights event. It is a lovely time to visit the old homestead and walk among the brightly lite trail.
