Looking forward to the next few weeks when the Aspen trees turn Colorado into GOLD! If you live here, be sure to make it a point to go see them. If you don’t live here, well I can fix that! #TimeToRelocate! #PureColorado
Harvest Moon Over Denver
I’ve been looking forward to photographing this moon all week. In my mind I was singing “Bad Moon Arising…” or whatever that song is called! It was a fun night, totally clear, warm and thoroughly enjoyable as I stood on the shore capturing Denver’s night reflections in Sloans Lake. Hope you got out to at least take a peak at the moon!

Mountain Meadow
In August I actually went tent camping for the first time in ages! I joined my son and his family up in a high mountain park near Divide, Colorado. As luck would have it, that weekend it rained. And rained some more! I don’t mind the rain, when I’m tucked away in my tent, but what I wasn’t prepared for was the low temperature! It was August, but yes this was at 9600 feet above sea level. What was I thinking? Oh well. This picture was taken just after the sun rose one morning. The air was cool and crisp and the grass soft with moisture. It felt so good to be alive!

Mountain Peaks
A few times a year I lead a photography group to a ranch in near Westcliffe, Colorado. The scenery there is unsurpassed, add a few horses, cowboys and cowgirls and life just don’t get any better than that. I so enjoy photographing the American Western Life!
Windmill Sunset
When the sun goes down lighting up the sky in hues of scarlet, I look for an interesting place to photograph. Last night I was out on the Eastern Planes of Colorado when off in the distance I saw this windmill. I drove toward it. When I got within range, I hopped out of the car and began clicking the shutter. I took a few pics, jumped back in my car and drove up the road to turn around. On the return trip, I spotted a man with his dog standing in the driveway. I gave him a cheerful wave while noticing his dog was on an alert, good thing I was still in the car! Fast forward to this morning. While processing this photo, I could see the outline of the man standing in the dark area near the windmill. I had no idea he was there when I was taking this picture! Now I feel really silly and a little embarrassed! I wonder what he thought I was doing!

Arrowhead Fall
The seasons are changing and around Colorado the colors are so vibrant! This photo was taken yesterday (October 8, 2018) at Arrowhead Golf Course in Littleton. It was a cloudy rainy day, but yet the colors are vibrant! I friend went this morning to capture his own photo, but was stopped by the cook from the Club. Apparently the bears are out, so be careful!
