I found this wonderful scene just south of Leadville on Highway 24. I wonder how many kids learned to read and write here? My favorite part is the outhouse with the half-moon on the side.
As the sun sets, people are going home to relax after a day of work in the city.

Denver Botanic Garden has an amazing display of flowers this August. I enjoyed some time there today, recharging my tired batteries.
Campers in the Denver Metro area don’t have to travel very far to enjoy a great campsite. This campground is located at the Chatfield State Park, just to the south of the reservoir. The view and activities are endless. But you can see that!
The popular fountain in City Park was struck by lightening a couple years ago. This year it was repaired much to everyone’s delight! Typically the lights changed color, but just my luck my best shot was a colorless one! Guess I’ll have to go back and try again.
